Hi all, name is Jade and I’m the owner of
Clay by j. I have always been totally obsessed with all things fashion, so when I started being a maker I knew that this was my way of contributing to the fashion industry but in my own special way. I grew up in Brisbane and lived there most of my life till just recently I moved up to the amazing Airlie Beach in the Whitsunday Region and have never looked back.
This is the place where I started being creative, picking up polymer clay for the very first time and making my very own gems. This then led onto starting my own business and scoring a
permanent site at the Lions Airlie Beach Markets. It’s has been so wonderful to get to know all the locals in my town and meeting the amazing tourists that keep our town pumping.
So after working on my techniques with polymer clay and perfecting my style, I took the jump and created a website to be able to share these amazing gems with everyone. Thanks for visiting the Clay by j website and happy shopping.
What Is Polymer Clay Made out of?
Polymer clay is a manmade clay consisting of a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) base, other components of polymer clay include resins, fillers and colouring. These ingredients give polymer clay its flexibility, soft texture and vibrant colour.
As all of your gems are made by hand, some items may contain small flaws or differences and will never be exactly the same, colours and styles may vary from the pictures you see.
If you have purchased my gems, I hope you love them as much as I do, you will never find the same style or pattern again. I am happy to make you special orders or bulk amounts of gems, just send me an email or DM me on my Instagram or Face Book page.
Your gems are made from polymer clay/resin, I only use surgical stainless steel posts/hoops, they come with a stainless steel back or a silicon comfort back.
Please keep your gems safe, they don't like being thrown around, here are some points you should follow:
